Recently, Gartner released its inaugural 2018 Magic Quadrant for Personalization Engines. Seeing as this report is right in Dynamic Yield’s wheelhouse, we couldn’t be more honored that one of our industry’s most trusted analysts recognized Dynamic Yield as a leader.
Evaluated along with 17 other solution providers in the market, Gartner positioned Dynamic Yield as the highest in ability to execute and furthest in completeness of vision in the Leaders quadrant, which we feel is an incredible achievement in our company’s history.
We believe personalization is the single most important trend in marketing today. More than 80% of companies do some form of personalization, and for those who get it right, the rewards can be substantial. In fact, in its research entitled Predicts 2018: Brand Relevance Under Fire, Automation on the Rise, Gartner estimates that “by 2018, organizations that have fully invested in all types of online personalization will outsell companies that have not by more than 30%.”
Our mission from the get-go has been to combine data and activation in a single platform — we’ve always believed this to be a more powerful approach than housing consumer data in systems that are disconnected with execution. If you are unfamiliar with Gartner’s methodology, it isn’t just about the technology alone. We believe a key determinant in Dynamic Yield being named a Leader is the feedback provided by our many customers directly to Gartner.
How Gartner Defines a Personalization Engine
“Personalization is a process that creates a relevant, individualized interaction between two parties designed to enhance the experience of the recipient. It uses insight based on the recipient’s personal data, as well as behavioral data about the actions of similar individuals, to deliver an experience to meet specific needs and preferences.” — Gartner
The Magic Quadrant report evaluated 18 personalization vendors on their ability to execute and their completeness of vision
Why we Believe Dynamic Yield is a Leader
As part of the evaluation criteria for ability to execute:
“Vendors are judged on Gartner’s view of their ability and their success in making their vision a market reality that customers believe is differentiated and prepared to buy into. Delivering a positive customer experience — including sales experience, support, product quality, user enablement, availability of skills and ease of upgrade/migration — also determines a vendor’s Ability to Execute.” — Gartner
